I saw a Dr. on tv talking about his booming business of removing tattoos. He claimed 40% of people who get them go through the costly and painful process of having tghem removed. I think that number will rise.

I’ve considered getting a tattoo many times — there is alot of tattooing done here in New Zealand, and some of the Maori designs are amazing — but I’ve always stopped short of doing so.

Removal here is by laser and it is apparently quite painful and expensive, and the end-result isn’t often perfect.

I can’t think of any designs that I’d want to have with me forever: what was important to me as little as 10 years ago is now unimportant. In 10 years’ time, who knows?
