The Marquette (University) Warriors had to change their name to the Marquette Golden Eagles because it was "offensive" to American Indians.
PC won that battle, but I'm glad it didn't win in the case for the Washington Redskins.

E(mail) Last Friday, in a judicial decision that hinged on a legal technicality, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., upheld the right of the local pro football team to keep its unconscionable nickname. Unsconscionable? Why...? How about the "Flaming Warriors"?
