The Marquette (University) Warriors had to change their name to the Marquette Golden Eagles because it was "offensive" to American Indians.
PC won that battle, but I'm glad it didn't win in the case for the Washington Redskins.

I understand that the “pale faces” or “black skins” or “Yellowmen” could be offensive, but the “Red Man” seems to have a slightly less “mean” connotation, more about strength and pride vs. weakness.
