Yeah, but we’ll have ObamaCare to help mend our broken bodies (the ones that aren’t killed in the little death trap cars).

Elitists like B Hussein Obama don't even want us driving our own cars. That gives us too much mobility and freedom. It's much easier to control the proletariat when they have to walk or use public transportation.

We have no public transporation in our rural area.

And to think freepers were rooting for Obama to beat Clinton, thinking he would be easy to beat.

Obama didn't consider the cost rewriting ALL the driver training manuals, either.
Those “next generation cars” won't be equipped with Today's high traction tires. Their tires will provide ONLY “Optimum MPG”. Forget about safety on winter roads, or the ability to steer around a potential crash; the provided tires won't be engineered for things like those. “High Traction” and “all season” tires won't be “dealership available”.

We'll need a “4 second rule”, rather than our current “2 second rule” for how closely an Obama Cafe Car could SAFELY follow another vehicle.

You wouldn’t want to ride a Bus WITH Obama-Cafe tires, anyway.

Families accustomed to SUVs and mini-vans will have to crowd into light, compact sardine cans.

Not even. When I was a kid, my family of seven squeezed into a Dodge Dart. Now, a modern car can't handle more than two small kids. They can't sit in front at all (air bags will crush 'em). Infant seats have to be rear facing, which means a full size adult can't even fit into his own seat because it has to be pushed all the way forward. Instead of miles per gallon, they should look at miles per passenger per gallon. The large families with 12 passenger full size vans will clobber the Priuses, hands down.

Onthe other hand, Obama may do for the car business what he did for guns. Get real ones while you still can!

You'll probably have one of these then...

Mea culpa. I was starting to get sick of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton thing and wanted the cycle to break. I also didn't think that he would hit the ground running (he is surely getting big league help from all sorts of folks waiting decades for this time). He actually is counting on dismantling everything before the next presidential election, maybe even 2010. This guy is like Hillary Clinton on speed.

Everyone with a fifth wheel or a trailer will be ordered by Zero’s Gestapo to pull it with a team of horses or his Gestapo hauls you off to Zero’s camps. Never again is ringing hollow!

“And to think freepers were rooting for Obama to beat Clinton, thinking he would be easy to beat.”

I never understood the logic. An obviously power-hungry shrill woman with a history of being manipulative against a gradiose, eloquent but downright communistic, arrogant black man who was all but bulletproof with but the word of “racism.”

Hillary & Bill were the old guard Dems. They aren’t the ulta-wacky base that Obama represents. So it goes.

on the upside..we can all be proud that in this country we no longer have racism, or a KKK, or those pesky african american hating dangerous skin heads.

Because if we did, you know this president would be dead by now.

For a man who has said he doesn’t want to run the auto companies, nary a week goes by without him mandating/directing/coercing ‘his’ auto companies action/directions.

This guy is more dangerous than I thought possible.

This afternoon I saw one of those toy-like Mercedes Smart Cars involved in an accident. It was hit by a very small, old, Mitsubishi Mirage at relatively low speed—probably not over 30 mph. Despite Mercedes’ bloviating about its safety features, the driver did not walk away.

Back in the USSA.
