3 decent ones in a week period. Interesting. Either letting off some steam or.............. It's because I'm coming down there tomorrow on vacation. I grew up in California, so Mother Nature is just wanting me to feel at home while I'm visiting.

The last time we had one, my cousin from England chimed in to say - "Nuttin' here" - and you just want to smack those smart a$$es upside the face with a
warm EMPTY glass of Guinness.
Every time it shakes here, there is always the chance that we'll be cut off from our government services in an instant. Hang on, SHAKE, BABY, SHAKE!

In Century City in a building on the 12th floor, it knocked the frappe off my latte.

Not very many, really, although there’s always a chance the subduction zone could let loose and kill us all.
We had the really wild Nisqually quake that had all the office buildings in Seattle swaying and knocked my MIL’s house off plumb, but there’s nothing like growing up in California.
I’m from the Walnut Creek/Concord area. Growing up there I didn’t wake up for anything less than a 5.5.

Nope, I’m a Penguins fan. My nick is an obscure reference to the Simpsons. As a poster above pointed out, San Jose is in the “other” South Bay...

We have lots of tiny ones here is Wa. the news pops up and shows them once in awhile. some say it’s better to slowly release pressure on the fault than larger ones like the Nisqually we had here.

Aha. I currently root for the Ducks and Canucks (old and new geographical ties), but since they’re both OUT I need to find a new team to root for.
Penguins are looking good this year.

2.5? I can sneeze harder than that. As a 40+ year veteran of these things, and all the big ones, I can tell you, I don’t even move for anything less than a 5.5 anymore. But....once they get bigger than that, I start crawling for cover!

"It is a pure and simple case of voter suppression! " If that is true, and the current counts show 1A-F all failing, then whoever ordered it deserves the "Rove, you magnificent b@stard!" award.
