The alleged marital troubles between reality stars Jon and Kate Gosselin have spurred a slew of searches. Lookups on Kate's surreal hairstyle are among the most popular.
Over the past week, queries on the 'do have surged an astonishing 713%. Related terms like "kate gosselin haircut" and "kate gosselin hair pictures" also posted strong gains. Are people searching on the hair because they want to emulate Kate? Or are they looking with the same freaked-out fascination as highway rubberneckers?
The world may never know. But for what it's worth, Kate has a theory. She believes "everybody wants" her hair. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kate says that her stylist gets calls from all over from folks who want to look like her. Alas, because the style requires thick hair, "it's not going to work for everybody." Life: so darn unfair.
While Kate hasn't said if she's given her style an official name, some calling the famous coiffure the "pixie bob." Queries on the term are relatively modest for now. However, if Kate's pointy locks become the next big thing (as she clearly believes), the "pixie bob" could become as eponymous as "the Rachel." Shudder...

looks like a partial mohawk but can’t figure if it’s the vertical or horizontal - maybe a 1/2 horizontal mohawk? who ever heard of a horizontal mohawk?
Well I’m no AM and don’t claim to be - but except that my hair is little bit curlier than in that pic, that looks just about like my hair, even down to the color. So I suppose I should be grateful for that. And yeah, my hair is *very* thick but I could never do a Kate Gosselin style. It would probably look like a hot mess on me, lol.

That is NOT a bob. A bob is hair all one length, cut and tapered at the chin. Kate has a reverse mullet, AKA, chicken a$$.
