You sure do have a lot to overcome to get a garden planted! I admire your attitude and persistance. I think my dogs have been keeping the squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits at bay.

I forgot about the bears! I hope they stay out of the garden because the fence probably won’t slow them down much. Last year I was letting our very oldest dog out for the last time one night and I was surprised by a big 300lb or so black bear sleeping about 3 feet from the front door!

I got the inspiration to try gardening here after looking at pictures of your garden. I had a garden when I lived in Florida, but the soil here is not very good. I was making compost to use to plant a few apple trees, but ended up with enough to plant a garden.
