You forgot a deck of playing cards.

Clan Lurker (3 of us including 14 yo Lurker Jr) each have 2 BOB's. One of them is a smaller Camelback type which stays in the car. The other is a medium ALICE pack with more stuff and is designed for longer term use.

In addition to the gear each of them has a deck of cards in there.

Very true, and cards also help you to draw in the group or the kids and wife into an intimate, distracting activity that gives you a good opportunity to set a mood and to monitor their emotional state.

Rubiks cube an hamonica an yes a game set with chess checkers backgammon. Cards an farkel. Is included.

Good point

Mad the text feature of a cell phone has extreme range as proven in nola katrina event. A known gps grid of yer site will bring he’ll in the desert. I rely only in part on battery fed gear but a cell phone ,small gps and a ACR personal locator beacon is always. In my emergency rucks

My next addition is a pioneer xm sat radio portable. Information is key IMO. Again lessons from Katrina

Stay safe .

I didn’t really forget a pack of cards. One of the things I hate most is playing card games. That’s just me. ;-)
