She loves the show and has said she'll do it as long as she breathes.
The point of having the show, as she has repeatedly said, was so that she could afford to stay at home with her children. Meanwhile she's on her second book tour, also has speaking engagements, and is planning a third book.
If that doesn't tell you where her priorities lie..
She speaks at churches and much of what she speaks about is pro-life issues. She talks extensively about what it was like to find that all of the implanted embryos had developed, and she was carrying six babies. The doctors strongly encouraged her to selectively abort several of the babies, but they were insistent that none be aborted. She seems over bearing to me on the show, but they did have eight children under the age of 4, at one time. That might justify a little of the bitchiness.
I don’t really know much about it, but I wonder whether this could just be the media, trying to knock down a strongly christian and pro-life role model. It isn’t like they haven’t done it before. (Think Carrie Prejean)
Surely both parents have to legally agree to run the program. He could end it, on some sort of terms, depending on what their contract says.
We were supposed to take Nadya Suleman as a pro-life role model, too, simply because she didn’t abort some of the children she’d had implanted.
I don’t know much about it. It does seem like the media wants to demonize anyone who isn’t pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage and pro-Obama. That is just my opinion. My daughter likes the show, and I watch it with her sometimes. There seems to be at least a couple references to prayer, and church in each show.
Nadya Suleman is just crazy. Its that simple. A single mom has no business bringing 14 children into the world. Jon and Kate were a happily married Christian family.
It appears from the comments that Kate has “self-demonized,” even before the recent reports of adultery.
Whatever the precise details, it’s a very unfortunate situation for all the children.
“let’s hope there’s no sex tape though”
I would recommend not googling for it.
I assumed that's what was happening.
There is no religion on the show. I don't think they are viewed as Christians, unlike say, the Duggers.
So, my guess is no. John is really a pig. Kate may be.
Well, he would have to stand up for himself to do that. He was wishy-washy about it at the season end, talking about how he isn't "John" anymore but John-and-Kate-Plus-8 all the time.
Speculation is that being seen out with the girlfriend was a passive agressive way to get out of all of it. In any case it was an incredibly destructive act. The older girls are in school. They have to be hearing about it.
To not call off the book tour, go home and say put the show on hold while we figure out what our next move is, I just don't get it.
She might mention prayer, might mention going to church, but we don't see them actually DO any of it. I didn't realize they were particularly religious until someone told me.
Of course...same here but...not all. :)
Where do they live in PA?
Why do you want to know?
My sister is a tv addict.
Jon and Kate live in Lancaster County PA, but I dont know what town.
The town doesn’t matter. Lancaster County is close enough.
I applaud their position and their efforts to support the pro-life cause. They may or may not be Christians, certain parts of their lives seem to indicate that this is so, while some others, not so much - but real Christians would never claim to be perfect anyway.
There is however no question that the woman is a first-class b1tch.
Jon should have taken charge of his family long ago - if he had, we would have all likely never heard of this family. He would have a REAL job, she would be taking care of the kids (as opposed to book-touring and making Oprah appearances), and they’d be struggling. Struggling, but making it and far, far happier than they are now.
The love of money has turned him into a whimpering, pathetic man, and her into a shrill shrew.
I assume you're joking...
Exactly right...
These children have been exploited.
