For the i-Pod-less, there are many playlists that are created by users, but the "Essentials" lists are made by Apple. It says it was posted April 28, but sounds like it was posted January 20. See the goopy Obama-loving text that came with the songs:
Welcome to the beginning of a new era in the U.S. Barack Obama's history-making win is really a victory for all those who keep the faith and firmly believe that people have the power to make a change. John Lennon was one of rock n' roll's most determined dreamers, and the better world he dared to "Imagine" may finally be within our grasp. ["Imagine there's no Heaven," and Obama makes it happen?]
Obama's goose-bump-inducing victory speech on election night referenced Sam Cooke's dare-to-dream statement "A Change Is Gonna Come," envisioning a future where spirit plus soul equals a brand new day just the kind Bruce Springsteen started planning for in the wake of 9/11, when he forged his anthem "The Rising."

The List of Ping Lists |
Apple FanB0i Ping.
Does it include “Gimme Dat Ding”
When apple gets beat-up for being liberal, I just like to remind folks that the absolute-bar-none-worst-tv-station bears the name of one of apple’s competitors.
People seem to justify never purchasing an apple product (or, just ‘beating up’ on them) because of either ‘al gore is on the board’ or, now, ‘a play list is liberal’...but those same folks will buy products from an MSnbc investor/supporter.
my disclaimer. I own/use MS products (xp, zune, keyboards, mice, joysticks, speakers), I own/use Apple products(mini, macbook, iMac, iPod). I prefer the apple products, but I still use both. Support my family on XP...
I misread this as goose-step-inducing victory speech...
That was my point in 2008. The media said “this is a historic election”. They all are.
If McCain had won I would bet we would already have Sarah's playlist.
"It's MY Republican Party And I Can Cry If I Want To..."
We won't. I love my ipods (yes plural) .... this on the other hand sucks.
Oh wait, that was on Meghan McCain’s playlist.
Pencil this Apple fanboy in as indifferent. It isn’t news that Apple has liberal leanings. I still prefer their products which for me are much better than the alternatives.
The Shaggs are too good for Zer0.
“Highway To Hell”...
