On the other hand, he doesn't know from "tiresome" until he tries to read "Great Expectations" next week!

He will HATE that. If they are going to read a boring 19th century romance, "Wuthering Heights" or "Pride and Prejudice" are far better.

“Pride and Prejudice” is a clever 19th century romance, but not many 15-year-old boys (in any century) are likely to appreciate the social and psychological subtlety.

I suppose I could get him “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” if he’s assigned any Jane Austen next year!
