When I finally sat down long enough to actually listen to him; I was shocked and put off totally.

Though he spoke plenty, he said nothing!!!

His words were empty as I believe his heart is now. Empty, but for the hatred of this country and all who seek to make her great.

Agreed. We would be much better off if Obama's heart and his head were as empty as his words. His heart is filled with things that are poisonous to our country, and his head has far too many ideas on how to get from today's freedom to the "change" that he hopes for.

The first time I really paid attention to him was in a presidential debate in which the moderator noted that the budget deficit was too big, and that everybody knew that budget cuts were going to be necessary [obviously this was relatively early in the campaign!]. Obama was asked for specifics on where he would CUT the budget.

His paraphrased answer:

"We do need to cut the budget. We cannot survive with these massive deficits. I would cut the budget in the following ways: I would invest in roads and bridges; I would invest in education and healthcare, and most importantly, I would invest in new, Green Technologies that hold the promise of giving a better future to our children."

People actually thought that was a brilliant answer. Of course, McCain was aksed the same question, and his answer was much simpler: "Defense."

I knew we were in trouble right there.
