Marie Osmond seems to support same sex marriage during radio interview

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The headlines are all over the internet, suggesting that Marie Osmond has a gay daughter and that the singer supports same sex marriage.

And that's exactly what Osmond seemed to be saying in a radio interview which aired in Los Angeles Tuesday.

In that interview, Marie Osmond talks openly about her daughter, her faith and gay marriage.

And her comments do seem to suggest she supports what the LDS Church does not.

Marie Osmond told KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles,

"One of the things that we have to be careful of is that we don't create hate. Because people believe certain things and we can’t make everyone become homogenized."

Osmond found herself on the radio responding to recent reports that her daughter is gay.

And while Marie Osmond's assistant told ABC 4 the singer would not comment on this further, the radio interview soon led to a discussion of same sex civil unions and marriage.

Marie Osmond: "Everybody has a right to believe what they believe. But I do think everyone has a right to have civil rights."

How screwed up are we that homosexual marriage is soon to be allowed everywhere, but the food nazis demand that raw milk be banned.

Or how the same people who believe in the right to abort babies are against animal testing and eating meat.

Destroy a bird egg in front of them and they'll call you a murderer. Then they'll turn around and hug those that wish to have a human being cut up and removed from their body.

I will never understand the Left. Thank God for that.

>>>Hey Marie! Love Thy Neighbor isn’t one of the 10 Commandments

But is a commandment. Jesus ranked it #2.

Matthew 22:36-40

Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Marie Osmond: "Everybody has a right to believe what they believe. But I do think everyone has a right to have civil rights."

One man. One woman. The only exceptions on such a right to marriage are IF you are already married, IF you and your partner of opposite sex are related, or IF you or your partner of opposite sex are too young to consent to marriage.

There is no prohibition on marriage. Anyone of any belief system may get married with the above constraints.

Shortly after the USSC decision on Lawrence v. Texas, there was a prosecution of an incest case in California. The perps were adults of different parents (adopted household?), the woman was pregnant and the father was the younger of the two although I think the charge went against him.

My wife has played her violin as part of Marie’s music ensemble a couple of times and has said Marie is narcissistic, rude, and demanding when off camera. She said Donnie, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite and is very kind.

Of course, you are correct there. I was simply referring the actual 10 Commandments given to Moses. It is entirely possible that she was referring to the reference in Matthew.

:)

Ms Osmond made representations to the audience which weren’t true (claimed her kids were all backstage, when at least one was not). After the performance, she sat in her dressing room, placing gift orders over the telephone, for an extended period, while the security staff waited for her to finish so that they could go home.

Gosh, lighten up a little. Those are not the actions of a monster.
