That is one of the worst things about athletes who get old. They just don’t know when to quit.

Numerous x-athletes have tried a come back. Most fail. Try again. And finally succumb to retirement or sports announcing.

Obviously the guy is sitting at home bored as hell. How can anybody be pained or otherwise negatively affected by Favre’s decision to un-retire (again)? If you don’t like the way ESPN is covering it— free market, liberty = tons of channels. Go watch something else.

I use to be a huge Bret fan until he returned after his first tearful goodbye announcement. Just be honest and say “I'm taking a Spanish pause and then I'll be back somewhere.” Otherwise say what you mean and mean what you say.
