LIMIT? LIMIT? No, they control it as if each pill is made of gold. I have frequent pain from a ruptured disk and from migraines. But, I cannot get a pain medication on a regular basis to control the pain. I have to wait until I am screaming in pain and writhing on the floor. Then, I get enough to dull the pain, but not enough to control it.
At present I live in a country where it is much easier to get the heavier stuff. I am still not addicted but I do have much less pain and I can do things I can't when pain takes my attention.
I am accepting Miss Abdul's statement that she was addicted. But now that she isn't addicted anymore, is she still in pain?
It isn't an addiction when it meets a need.
I can't agree with you more. I've finally found a doctor after many years who understands this, and I'm forever in his debt.
I just hope and pray the DEA surveilence that goes on behind the scenes and the extraordinary lawsuits by losers who like to sue the Docs for easy money doesn't scare off all the truly compassionate Doctors out there.

It’s hard for the little people to get pain medication. Two years ago I had my wisdom teeth out taken in a procedure that was difficult enough that the dental assistant fainted from watching it. I got a weeks worth on pain medication. When I asked for a couple days more, the dentist told me to take Tylenol. I guess Paula goes to a different set of doctors.
As I get older, I’m less convinced that the government and the licensed medical profession should have more say about what goes into my body than I do. I also never understood why my diabetic mother had to get a prescription to buy her needles while the government gave them away for free to heroin addicts.
