The sound was pure Ferrari; I know it well having been in front and behind it on tracks.

There were some pretty amazing controlled slides that would be difficult without the balance of a Ferrari; certainly no sedan (of the era) could pull it off.

Some tight spots, too (like when he went up half on the sidewalk) that I doubt a sedan could fit in.

I go with the filmaker’s own story — he stuck the camera on his Ferrari.

Great works of art inspire controversy.

Any which way he did it, the end result is spectacular.

Paris is so scenic.

Different strokes.....

I spent over a week there and hated it. Concrete, Asphalt, dog poop, Metro bums, snobby people and everyone hated Americans. NEVER again.

I had a similar experience. I wanted to go to their Horse Races, and found a guy looking over their racing paper in a park so I asked him how to get to the track. He knew enough English to tell me to, "Get lost." The French are SO classy. But still there is something classy about the city, the food and the wine. (The croissants aren't bad either.) I guess it's some sort of "Je ne sais quoi."

ABout the last minute of the film was getting very reckless. My guess is it was shot around 5 am. I loved the sound on the downshifts, full acceleration and blip the throttle.

"known racing fans and other afficiandos of extremely dangerous things."

I love being in that crowd. Thanks for the ping. I haven't had a chance to watch yet but I will - Jack Bauer will come first tonight though as the #1 afficiando of extremely dangerous things. :)

Yes the car is pretty much priceless. One of the most beautiful Ferrari’s though my favorite is the 330. I cannot remember the exact 330 model, maybe P3, but one is in yellow and probably the best looking Ferrari though the 512M for Lemans was also nice.

Was yellow the color for Ferrari Belgium? I know blue was North America Ferrari.

The aroma of urine everywhere? I had a German teacher who spoke flawless french but if the Parisians knew you did not sepak that - they would ignore you. I know a few people who said they had a nice time and the people were fine???

At least the French do not elect Muslims to run their country.

I bought a BMW 5 series in Germany and drove it all through France. Fast car on small roads.

I preferred the autobahn...

The best rally driver in the world is Sabastien Loeb of France. The Finns usually dominate rally racing but Loeb is incredible. He has won the world rally championship for the last 5 years in a row. It is big in Europe too like NASCAR but not as big as Formula 1.

He looks like a thinner and younger version of Russell Crowe.

“I wish I could afford to go there and rent a car.”

I wish it wasn’t full of obnoxious frenchmen and angry muslims.

I'm down with that. Nothing more peaceful and relaxing in the whole world. Like being an angel just floating above everything, spectating, serene...

That was pretty cool. I got lost after he blew past the Opera and started going down the smaller streets. Didn’t realise where he was again until he pulled into Sacre Couer. Really cool with the sound up.

"The bit going through the circle around the Arch de Triumphe was scary"

You bet!

Do you think the guy riding the motor scooter sent his pants out to the laundry, or did he just throw them away?
