Kelly McGillis, best known for playing teacher to Tom Cruise in "Top Gun," has confirmed long-held rumors that she's a lesbian, according to an interview on the website shewired.
"I'm done with the man thing," says McGillis, 51, who is twice married and twice divorced and has two teenage daughters. "I did that, I need to move on in life. It's a part of being true to yourself. That's been a challenge for me."
The Daily Mail says McGillis' sexual orientation was Hollywood's worst-kept secret. (Funny, we thought the worst-kept secret was that Jodie Foster was gay. Or John Travolta. We could go on.)
The Popeater.com blog says the announcement crushes "a million middle-aged hearts."

Wikipedia says McGillis lives in Pennsylvania, not all that far from Amish Country, so something from Witness must have stayed with her.

Not to mention a prerequisite to gaining employment, at any appreciable level in Hollyweird, is one be gay.
Exactly how the Hollyweirdos go about determining ones gayness is another matter, altogether.
This morning I read a disturbing thread which claimed that Brad Pitt wasn't getting enough sex from Jennifer Ansiton and now we hear that Kelly McGillis is a lesbian.
We are indeed living in difficult times.

If you take a look at a recent pic (see #65), you’d Hit It......with a sturdy 2 X 4. From appearances, she’s spent the last 23 years falling down a really tall Ugly Tree or has been trying to play catch with semis buzzing along on the intersate.

Sounds intolerant to me.
There are women who suffer abusive relationships with men and go over to "the other team" only to learn that lesbians can be physically abusive too.
Activist groups do not care what causes such desires. The advocates of the sex positive agenda seek to end all moral judgements over all sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partener(s).
Isn’t it interesting to see the headline and the “conclusion” the editor drew?

Actually she’s bisexual. She has engaged in relationships with members of both sexes. She procreated with men and bore children.
If an actor were to stray from his heterosexual relationship with one member of the same sex, they wouldn’t permit him to continue to call himself heterosexual with “curiosity”.
I suspect that most of these people are just amoral, sexual adventurers, willing to try anything. It has nothing to do with “being gay.”
I think that’s true, and especially in a culture that basically says, “No limit, whatever you want to do is *normal* and ok.”
Another celebrity turns gay because it’s the in thing to do.
One of my brothers-in-law is friends with the local Police Chief. The Chief says when they're called out on domestic disputes involving homosexual men, it usually involved one yelling at the other one, who is crying. With lesbians, there's almost always physical violence. Go fig.
