Ok, I'm going to get ribbed for this but I have a thought on the AF1 thing the other day over NYC.
Using AF1 (symbol of the most powerful man on the planet) with fighter escort (most advanced/powerful airborne weapon on the planet) to mock the American people in NYC was BO's way of showing his "friends" (and those he bows to) that he is one of them.
Feel free to tell me I'm way off.
IMO, you aren’t off. I had the same thought: why did they want to do a photo op that copied the photo on that Islamic calendar? Why make it look like 9/11?
Why not just Photo-shop it with Air Force One? What was it, just a mindless joke on New Yorkers? Not buying the “I was clueless” excuse. (he may be, but not this time)
The whole incident is strange.
Even thinking it’s a possiblity says alot. I mean, you could name any other former president, Carter included, or any public figure and it would never enter your mind to have think they could be capable of that. To me, it doesn’t sound far fetched.
Maybe that was the code for the hidden followers of the ROP to start some action. Don’t they wait for the word to reach them from their leader?
After a couple of smart-azz comments (let’s face it - with a gaffe of this epic proportion the snarks almost write themselves!) I tried to figure what could possibly be their true intention.
If, as they say, their intention was simply to “update their stock photo collection”, why not exploit it? They could have advertised their intention to the event and their NYC audience - already heavily numbering among the faithful - would have cheered instead of ducked and ran.
The only political shot they managed to get in was a limp one from chuckie shummer insulting the unnamed FAA administrator who was “appointed by a previous administration”. Wow! Cut me to the quick!
Mostly what we saw was indignation from officials and panic from the peons.
So what else could it have been?
A naked show of power? Once again, if that was the case they picked the wrong forum. Why needlessly irritate your base?
Personally I believe it to be a matter of pure incompetence. I’ve often said that a look at the dhimmicrat party is a study of equal parts ignorance and arrogance. They do stuff when they haven’t a clue about the implications and consequences because they don’t care about the implications and consequences. They’re charter members of the “Easier to beg forgiveness that seek permission” club.
The O’Bumbler is a liar if he says he wasn’t aware of the overflight, but I believe him if he said that he wasn’t aware of the details. They (senior members of his administration) did it with his permission but not his participation. They told the DOD to inform the FAA not to cooperate with the public or with officialdom - even when it was a dhimmi public and dhimmi officialdom.
They did it and now they’re doing the shuffling and “Garsh, we’re sorry” backpedaling. And they’re doing it because they know that they will get away with it.
I wondered about that.

Yikes! I didn’t think of that, but you might be right.
It was a purely intentional act of Terrorism, and if you think it is bad now, just wait until the census kicks in.
One thing to consider is that they may honestly have thought there would be little or no reaction : After all, THEY are over 911, so surely everyone else is too (that’s assuming that BHO and his ilk EVER felt any empathy with the victims of 911 and the survivors...You know, the “little Eichmans”.)

Sure it sounds bizarre and far fetched, but then what happened is just that. I still can't believe they did that fly over and I will never believe The White House didn't know about it. Geez they really believe we are stupid.

Maybe they figured everyone was over it, because Zero >HUSSEIN< actually won the election.

BO feigning anger over the fly over is so absurd. He ordered the fly over. He has no worry about terrorism, he thinks that’s old news. He saw no problem with that low fly over with 2 jets tailing the plane. He is clueless. No thought at all was given to how lowly citizens might react. He thinks only of himself. If that mindless act, does not turn a lot of New York City dimocrats into republican voters or sit at home and don’t vote dem voters, in the next elections, I’d be surprised. People don’t like to get the crap scared out of them by their president, even a guy who is a fake, and is only playing a president on TV. I’d be royally pissed if I was a dem, voted for that jerk, and had to run from an office building in fear for my life because of him.
