SirKit and I were discussing yesterday an article he'd read explaining why so many young and healthy people died of the Spanish Flu. Apparently, when the flu virus hit, because their immune systems were strong, they went to work on the flu virus, but went out of control and started attacking healthy organs. Their own immune systems apparently were the cause of their deaths. Scary.
