The worst thing conservatives can do to her would be to buy tickets, attend and never even break a smile during her entire set. She would be devastated and leave the business. Not laughing at a comedian is like shooting them in the head.

Exactly. I’ve seen stand-up acts bomb at clubs, and that is exactly what happens. People are polite, but utterly silent. When people don’t laugh, and then they give a polite ‘golf clap’ for applause at the end of the set — it is the ultimate bomb for a stand-up act.
As in: they won’t be asked back.
