Actually, I think the drawn out time line of the show will probably hurt Susan Boyle. The reaction to her was real, and large numbers of people would like to hear more of her singing. Winning or not winning Britain's Got Talent is probably far less important than recording a CD of great songs and offering it to the public.
And Simon's blather here is pointlessly arrogant and of little value.
I’m thinking she could get a tech-savvy friend and record singles in her living room, set up a store on the Internet, and charge mabye 50 cents a download and make pretty decent money.

I don't know about the prep part of it, but it certainly won't affect her singing. She's had a lovely voice for years, judging by the audio from her version of "Cry Me A River" from that CD that was made for a charity fundraiser almost 10 years ago.
Absolutely agree. Doesn’t matter what happens on Simon’s show, someone will sign her to a contract and I will gladly purchase her first cd. Love her voice.
