This has probably been mentioned elsewhere, but I think it would be appropriate for all Patriots to fly the flag upside down, this July 4th. As you problably know, doing this signifies distress, and if there ever was a time when Our Country was ever truly in distress, this is it.
As someone who loves his country and its flag, someone who has served in it military defending that flag, I refuse to display my country’s flag in other than a respectful way.
I understand the symbolism inferred … but I refuse to use my country’s flag in an un-respectful way. My American flag will always wave in an upright and respectful way.

I’m flying a rebel flag.
Flying it “upside down” wouldn’t even be noticed....;-D
Nothing says you can’t fly two American flags on the same pole, one upside-right and one upside-down.
But I do like the “Don’t tread on me” slogan....if you [or anyone here] is in an open-carry state, I encourage you to use the right. I’ve used it a lot of times this year.

Fly Old Glory right side up above the Gadsden Flag above whatever military branch flag you served in/have family members in or otherwise support. But keep Old Glory right side up unless it’s a real distress call.
I can’t go there. I have three sons serving and two sons in harms way and can’t use our flag to protest. I’ve also attending far too many Military funerals the last 6 years and seen far too many troops off to mock our flag. There has to be a better way to show contempt for our current administration.
I don’t like that idea. There’s going to be a lot of tea parties on the Fourth; go to one of those to protest.
You mean well, I’m sure.....but that’s MY flag, and I won’t let radical leftists put me in the position of dishonoring it or my country....as far as I’m concerned, I have more right to fly it proudly than any Obamaniac.

Sorry, I can’t support this idea. The liberals hate that people fly flags, and would much rather us not display national pride, so I’ll proudly be displaying the flag this 4th.

Here’s what I’m flying July 4th on my fence at my driveway in order of presidence:
The Nation Color (Upright), The Marine Corps Flag, The First Navy Jack and the Gadsden Flag.
I believe flying the National Color upside down is disrespectful to our troops unless it is truly an emergency.
Let’s all just hope Zero doesn’t decide to change our flag, that’s probably next.
I appreciate your desire to take action but I really don’t think I feel comfortable flying the flag upside down.
