Gene Roddenberry's wife, Majel Barrett Roddenberry, an actress who also served as the voice of the USS Enterprise's computer, set up a nifty little multimillion-dollar trust for her beloved pooches to ensure that they would remain in the lap of luxury after she was gone.
According to probate documents obtained by E! News, Roddenberry set aside $4 million so that her dogs could go on living in one of her mansions, while their longtime caretaker, Reinelda Estupinian, gets $1 million and residential rights in the expansive home.
"I do not want the animals to be placed in a kennel or other boarding facility," Majel stated, adding that she also wished for her trustees to hire someone to check up on the dogs periodically, "to be certain that they are being cared for properly (as I cared for them during my lifetime)."
But there's no need to weep for her human heirs. Roddenberry left $100 million to her 35-year-old son, Eugene Roddenberry Jr., to be paid out in installments, and the special lady in his life has permission to borrow Majel's jewelry.

She and her husband provided many years of good entertainment. Capitalism is good.

Too bad it was galactic-UN, prime-directive (but breaking it all over all the time), liberal garbage. The only time it was good was the special effects and the action.
Which actually shows that the best moments aren’t the liberal ones, they’re the ones where people have to kick butt to defend themselves and others.

I liked Majel. She had a couple of episodes with Odo in Deep Space Nine that were so touching.

If anything, Star Trek proved that the whole one-world we don’t need money anymore was hogwash. It was a dream that was only kept going by people like Kirk who killed bad guys and bad aliens, broke all the rules and went through women like Bond.
Just like now, the liberals seek their utopia on the backs of those who do the heavy lifting.

That is not logical. Felines are a superior species.

As I recall, after TOS folded, she was down on her luck, and actually worked as a stripper for a while. Hope everything turned out OK for her after that...

I finally figured it out, but thank you.
I was a huge fan of Star Trek until they expanded to Deep Space and Voyager, and I never saw a single episode of Enterprise. But I am looking forward to the new movie, which looks pretty good from trailers and early reviews.
