You can't say it enough. The people who precipitated the thing are nothing short of criminals and any one who supports what they did and apologizes for them in any way, is also a criminal.

While I agree with all that you cite the straw that broke the camel’s back was the price of oil. A whole lot of people were barely living in the margin, living paycheck to paycheck and when the price of oil soared and other prices followed, their lifestyle could no longer be sustained. They maxed out their credit and reality slammed them in the face and they stopped spending with the regularity that they had done before.

Yep. I HATE the fact that the very politicians who had a large part in creating this mess are STILL in power and even pontificating about how WE have to sacrifice to repair it. Absolutly sickening.
