I've seen black guys taking their large catch of large carp home. (But the last time I reported on black culture it turned into a flame war.) The carp in the lakes, rivers, and canals in the Phoenix area are GIGANTIC, and you can catch a bunch of them in a short amount of time. If you pressure cooked them and canned them, you'd be eating fish for a long time. I can't get over the slime, though.
Marinade the fillets in beer and/or vinegar. The meat is actually pretty good if you don't mind with bones.
