Britney Spears Thinks Her Dad is Drugging Her Apr 18 posted by Showbiz Spy
Britney Spears has a new fear — she’s worried that her dad is drugging her.The singer, 27, is currently under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears.
And Britney has “convinced herself” the patriarch is upping her medication to keep her subdued — so he can stay in control of her life.
“Britney is sure her father is out to get her and that he’s drugging her to turn her into a zombie who won’t fight back,” a source told British magazine Look. “Ever since her breakdown last year when she was hospitalized, she’s been on prescription pills to battle her panic attacks.
“Her doctors have also prescribed anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Ativan to deal with stress and to help her sleep.
“As part of the court-ordered conservatorship, Jamie has to make sure Britney takes the correct dosage because she forgets to take them otherwise. But lately she’s been nodding off randomly in the middle of conversations and is convinced it’s because Jamie’s giving her too much much.”
The source adds that Britney’s friends, “tell her it’s because she’s working so hard and performing every night on her Circus tour.”
But Britney, says the source, “thinks there is a more sinister reason and insists her dad is drugging her to keep her under control.
“It’s a bad sign that Britney’s paranoia is rearing its head again. She’s sneakily sent text messages to her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, and told him she needs help because her dad is poisoning her.
“She’s desperate to untangle the conservatorship and get her dad out of her life.”
Britney should go live with Meghan McCain. I’m sure they’d hit it off.
The B-girl doesn’t even know what is handed to her when she takes her meds??? roflmao. poor thing, she is such a sell-out. If she could only get off the roller coaster/trainwreck that she’s on and has become. She needs to talk to someone about self integrity.
I guess the money is sooooooooo much an attraction that she’s addicted to the money, the press and lifestyle.
I pity her for what she has become.

At least with him she has the court involved and can use the court and procedure to make sure she is getting appropriate medical treatment for her problem. Her father should have no say in how much she is medicated, but a psychiatrist can and will. So Britney get your second and third opinion and submit it to the court. It is hard to believe the father has anything to do with medicating her. If he does this is wrong and should be ruled upon by the court. I somehow believe though that he does not.

Brit’s Dad needs to give Lindsay’s Dad a tutorial: whatever he’s doing seems to be working. Mama Lohan is the one who should be kidnapped and put in a cell: cuz she keeps up her stellar role as her kids’ main partier pal? Well, it ain’t goin’ ta end well!
The only problem is that she has reproduced and further polluted the gene pool.
Another possibility is not that unusual with bipolar folks and that is that she is tired of feeling normal and misses her highs from her mania and is angry and blaming her father for being a part of the crew that supports her treatment from bipolar illness. It is not usual for bipolar to quit taking medication for just this reason. They usually don't have a crew of people around looking over their shoulders so it is much easier just to stop. With Britney she will get push back and won't be allowed that freedom.
It is sort of like a paranoid schizophrenic missing their paranoid fantasies and thus stop taking meds. I have no doubt she is angry about her lack of mania or maybe they need to ease back just a tad on her medication if she is feeling too lethargic.
I am not a psychiatrist but did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. LOL. Actually I had a father who was bipolar and grew up learning all of this stuff as he told me all about his experiences as he went through them. He was a compliant patient, but often missed his highs of mania as he felt so very powerful and creative and intelligent, which he was but often this would spiral into mania cycling out into depression and leave him feeling just the opposite. The middle ground is hard for these folks when they have felt the highs or omnipotence.
Yeah, I was just thinking that this article is really short on substantiation. Could just be totally made up.

I find it incredibly sad that you all think you know what goes on in the heart and mind of someone else’s father. A father who I am sure loves hi9s daughter like you all love your children. SHAME ON YOU.
Jeez, she’s worth millions, have a nurse give her the meds and test her blood once a week at home. I think Brit has several screws loose.

I thought maybe she would be different when she came back, but she came out baring her body in the “Womanizer” video. I heard parts her concert are very risque, and pictures from her tour seem to confirm that. Her father has conservatorship over her, and I don’t know why he would support his daughter dressing and acting in such a manner. I assume $$$ has something to do with it. I really think that her getting back into sleaziness will be her down fall again.

That’s true, she may be right. However, if I suspected someone was drugging me, I’d take rational steps to eliminate the possibility. Her statements “sound” more like paranoid delusions.
It would be pretty easy for me to be certain that no drugs are being administered to me unawares.
