Remington 7615 SPS

Posted on 04/19/2009 10:00:28 AM PDT by Tuba Guy

Anyone own one? I'm looking for a .223 carbine and this one is certainly in my $700 price range. Sheesh, the Ruger Mini-14 prices have skyrocketed.

Anyway, I have one on order but I may have to wait awhile. (My total price including the FFL fee here in San Antonio will be $740.)

Home invasions are way up here in San Antonio (as well as incidents of TB -- gee, I wonder where that's coming from?)

get you a cheap pump or double barrel shotgun and stoke it with #6 or 7.5 shot....it wont shoot through more than 1 wall but will kill dead anyone within 20 feet.

much safer, and cheaper.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the 7615 though I haven’t had a chance to shoot one. My daughter has a 700 BDL in .223 and it’s very accurate. It has a sporter barrel so your heavier barrel ought to be perfect for your uses.

I’ve got a 700 BDL in 30-06 that I put a Bell and Carlson Medalist stock on and it’s pretty good too.

I don’t think you can go wrong...

Hmmm,,,it’s a pump....you could get a Remington M750 in .308 for less money, and have a semi auto that has 10 shot mags available.

Since it appears you have some time, I urge you to rent and evaluate a Saiga 12 - <$600 - it is a crowd pleaser. ;^)

Have you started buying ammo for it yet? I was in an Academy in SA today, and they’ve moved all the rifle ammo behind the counter and are limiting each person to 200 rds.

Shotgun shells are still out on the shelves.

I did see AR 15 mags aplenty at Academy today, also AK 47 mags.

Next week is the monthly Saxet Gun Show at the Freeman Colisseum.
