Not to mention the fake war on drugs and backdoor support of cartels. They keep pumping the children with stuff coming up from Mexico that gels their brains.

Ooops, goofed the first post, sorry I am a conservative, darn proud of it, and will do what is necessary to protect my country from becoming a statist gov’t.

Hear, hear. Mark Levin's new book expand on this in great detail, from what I've been able to read so far

You can’t disagree! LOL! (kidding)

You’re putting all under one umbrella. We’re both right, except you generalized my point.

Extreme Democrats preach “economic equality”. This is inherently Socialist.

Extreme Republicans are elitists, that are openly accepting nationalization of our industries for the purpose of dictating how the masses should live, regardless of “economic equality”. This is a Fascist concept.

As a FReeper posted in a thread yesterday, It’s important to understand the difference, because while both systems are ultimately Statist, the way each achieves their goals is fundamentally different. It allows us to expose the methods our adversaries are using more effectively, because we have historical models (i.e. Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini) from which to compare.

Thanks!!

Haven’t had a chance to get Levin’s book yet. (Am seriously underemployed right now) Plan to get a copy though.

My thoughts on fighting statism is to cut off the $ they get thru taxes, fees, etc.

Create an undergound economy. Pay willing people in cash so as to avoid taxes on the transactions (at least partially in cash if necessary). Quit spending on unnecessary things and save). And on and on.

One more thing. Don’t confuse “Anarchism” for “Libertarianism”. In an Anarchist model described by Marx, there is a Government, but it is rendered completely ineffective.

A Libertarian model is what you meant, because it is a system by which Government effectively executes few and necessary laws to ensure civility and the security of the people.

“Extreme Democrats preach “economic equality”. This is inherently Socialist.”

Those are “the words they use” not the goals they aspire to. This is the same as when they keep referring to the USA as a democracy...we are a republic...and there are huge differences.

Words to a democrap have very different meanings than they do to conservatives.

Personally, I consider what Obama's doing with GM as Fascist.

This is exactly why we have so-called Republicans like Romney backing the nationalization of healthcare. Large global businesses don't want to pay the good bennies any longer. Dems want it to have control of something. It's a match made in heaven...or hell.

We will all have inferior care to suite these fascists. Euro style euthanasia comes next and it's just a mathematical calculation to a pol with no moral base. Someone has to be eliminated to continue down the socialist path...who will it be?

I'm fully aware of the fact that they are deceivers. It doesn't change the fact the concept is in fact Socialist.

That could work, I wonder what they would resort to when cash runs out and they become desperate and start seeking out us "tax evaders" though.

No matter what happens I think we're gonna be in for a rough ride.

Levin's new book is very good, maybe I should get off of FR and get back into it :)

I guess my opinion on the definition is slightly different. My defintion of anarchism is that there is no central govt or other pro forma govt. Just people doing what they want within the parameters of their “tribes” social norms and standards. One could liken my intrepretation to the American Indian tribes. Each lived according to their own rules and accepted norms.

"Sadly, the “extremists” have usurped that goal to the point that we now find ourselves at a crossroads."

Yes we have.

One man’s socialism is the next man’s communism is the next man’s fascism. There are no pure forms of “statism” or other gov’t types. It all depends on what the statists are able to “set up” and the history of the people’s being “governed”.

I agree with you that much of what we are experiencing today can be labeled socialistic. Other parts of it can be labeled communist, fascist, totalitarian, democratic, etc.

I always wondered why the so called communist countries behind the Iron Curtain called themselves (German Democratic Republic, Union of Soviet Social Republics, etc.)

They are different forms of statism.

What we need in our govt offices are statesmen. People who put the values and principles of the county’s founders at the forefront of their values. And yes, this too could be called statism.

“That could work, I wonder what they would resort to when cash runs out and they become desperate and start seeking out us “tax evaders” though.

I don’t see the upcoming “real battle” as some do (us vs the gov’t). My theory is that it will be us (conservatives, pro USA folks) against the “liberal nanny states dependants”.

Liberals will cast the blame on us and “send the army of dependants” after us. Did u hear of the nannystate marchers (approx 50K) marching in NYC demanding higher taxes on the wealthy or the ACORN bussed and paid for lackies sent to the AIG exec’s homes? Just the beginning of the real battle I am afraid.
