Chet doesn't annoy me. If you know what his posts are about and don't like them, don't click on them...

Yep

If someone doesn't like Chets posts, don't click on them and then raise a stink because you don't like what was written...a reasonable person does not continue to click on posts that bother them.

Yep

It’s called an analogy, newbie. Look it up.

And since it appears you aren’t keeping up with things here on FR, the Timothy McVeigh analogy is in reference to the DHS report that said conservatives and Veterans are potential homeland security threats because of what Timothy McVeigh did, Land he was a Veteran.” One, or several thousand bad apples don’t spoil the entire populace, breed, or species.

And in the same way that Tigers should not be allowed out of their pens, neither should a dangerous dog. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that neither the Tiger nor the dog get loose.

When you don’t have a reasonable argument call someone a newbie...Name calling is the forte of a liberal..Your Analogy may seem right to you but it is so far out of the ball park of the conversation it doesn’t fit...
We do agree on one thing. A vicious dog should never be allowed out of their pens..

"I won't try to convince you that you are wrong; you seem to have your mind made up since you accuse pit owners of being delusional like liberals. You just don't realize that you are doing the exact thing you accuse others of, reacting based on sensational stories and emotion even though you clearly (based on your quote I posted) really do not know of what you speak."

Sure. I'll pick up the gauntlet. Your reply is logical fallacy at best. And a misrepresentation of my comments.

"you seem to have your mind made up since you accuse pit owners of being delusional like liberals."

No...I have not done that. I have pointed out a noticed similarity in the responses to Chets posting of his pit bull articles to many of the looney lib responses made to the conservatives posts I have made on other forums. And, I sincerely doubt that all of the specified respondees actually own pit bulls. Can you prove me wrong?

"...You just don't realize that you are doing the exact thing you accuse others of"

I think it is very smug of you to think you know what I "realize" and what I do not "realize." Smug..and in this instance wrong and self-serving. And I "accuse" no one. I have pointed out a similarity in responses. And, I think your response to my post shows enough of the same low grade pop-psycho-analysis to fit right in there also.

"...reacting based on sensational stories and emotion even though you clearly (based on your quote I posted) really do not know of what you speak."

Its so nice that you use your self as the supporting source for this part. Unfortunately, since you are relying on an incorrect item as the basis of your support, that kind of nullifies the credibility of your point. In plain language - you got bupkiss to support yer claim.

So much for the fisking. Frankly, I made it clear what I was saying. I also indicated it was my opinion. If someone agrees with me - they win no prize. If someone disagrees with my opinion - good for them. I don't ask for either.
Its called...:drum roll:...Free Speech.

Have a lovely and safe week-end...8)

Your quote: Thats what the dog knows as a natural reaction.

You left out a defense of your own statement in your lengthy reply.

“Brent Chapman, Dog’s Owner, “That’s where we found him.”

When Melissa Chapman reached her dog Ben, his pit bull attackers had already done so much damage the dog was on the verge of death.

Melissa Chapman, Dog’s Owner, “It looked like two lions attacking a new kill.”

Ben was bleeding so much even a veterinarian wasn’t able to save him.

“VALLEY CENTER —— The top official at the San Pasqual Indian Reservation said he was very concerned about the recent dog attacks in the Paradise Mountain area, but he maintains that the reservation was not to blame.

Allen Lawson, chairman of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians’ Tribal Council, said he believes wild dogs —— not dogs owned by residents on the reservation —— attacked two horses and killed two dogs earlier this year.

“This is going too far —— blaming the reservation,” said Lawson, adding that dogs have also attacked residents and animals on tribal land but that the dogs in question haven’t been linked to an owner on the reservation.

But that’s disputed by a half-dozen residents and livestock owners on Sunset Vista Lane, just off tribal land.

They remain frustrated by tribal and county authorities who they said have not followed up with them on the attacks, which began in late January. Though no new attacks have been reported since March 18, many continue to carry shotguns and pistols for protection, they said.

Residents in the otherwise quiet community east of Valley Center believe the dogs, described as pit bulls, are owned by a man who lives just across from them, on the reservation.”

““When my sister got on the bus and left the puppy jumped on me and whimpered,” said Hauck.

Shortly afterward, the puppy’s father, a full-grown rottweiler named D.J attacked.

“He jumped on me and started biting me,” said Hauck, “It dragged me in the middle of the road.”

That’s when a neighbor and passing driver intervened, pulling the dog off and calling authorities.

The dog is registered to Bay County residents 38-year-old Janiero Nopez Johnson and 39-year-old Stephanie Deneir Johnson. They were arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with attack or bite by a dangerous dog, a felony.

“Pet owners should take the responsibility to keep their animals leashed or make sure that they don’t roam the neighborhood,” said Wice.

According to Florida statute, the dog will be held for 10 days and then destroyed. During that time, the owners are eligible for appeal. The puppy will remain in the custody of animal control until the investigation is complete.”

“Published: April 16, 2009

An 11-year-old Rappahannock County girl is hospitalized after authorities say she was attacked by pit bull on Tuesday.

Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office Major Scott Jenkins said deputies were called to the scene on Scrabble Road, off U.S. 522 around 5:30 p.m.

Jenkins said the attack occurred inside a residence while the victim was visiting a friend.

As deputies were on the way to the scene, Jenkins said the dog continued to attack the girl and a neighbor grabbed nearby objects and began hitting the dog in an attempt to stop the attack.

When authorities arrived, Jenkins said the dog had been coaxed into a kennel.

The girl received severe bite wounds to her face, neck, arms and legs.

She was taken by rescue squad to Culpeper Regional Hospital then transferred to the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Jenkins said she was listed in stable condition.

Jenkins said the dog, a family pet, was euthanized. It is not clear what may have provoked the animal to attack.”

“A pit bull mix got out of its yard Easter Sunday morning in Jim Thorpe, fatally attacked another dog and hurt some people trying to save the smaller dog’s life, police said.

The dog killed the smaller animal and a man needed stitches on his nose to close a bite wound, police said.

Jim Thorpe police officer Leo Clements said the dog got out of a yard by crawling under a fence. About 8:30 a.m., it attacked the smaller dog and a group of people tried to intervene on W. Broadway, Clements said. He said the dog bit three of the people.

He said the pit bull mix will be quarantined at home for 10 days, as is department procedure when a dog attacks someone.”

“OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Three people were injured in Oshkosh when a family’s dog attacked them and caused severe facial injuries to an 8-year-old girl.

Police say the girl was playing with the 3-year-old dog, a pit bull terrier mix, when it attacked unprovoked Tuesday evening.

The girl underwent surgery at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah for facial and head injuries.

The girl’s older sister and her sister’s boyfriend were also injured when they tried to put the dog in a bedroom.

The dog was euthanized by the Oshkosh Area Humane Society at the family’s request.”
