Satan has incorporated into his system of world rulership as many material distractions.
Affluence, the increase and spread of wealth, communication and technology are factors which, from one point of view, are very beneficial to the devil’s control of mankind.
For one thing, fear is a major element in Satan’s manipulation of humanity, and to the extent that men enjoy and rely on such things for their happiness and security to that degree the fear of losing them produces a sort of bondage which the devil is quick to exploit Heb.2:14-15...
IMO with the Age of Technology after 1947 the nation lost it’s focus on how we as a people would learn to love and respect and honor one another...The 50’s came and with that a slow leak of the Traditional Family was fourth coming, the radical 60’s of free love, racism the Women’s movement, drug culture...So with the Technology Age we lost the Age of Innocence
Geez, when did religious people become Luddites?
I'll keep modern medicine and indoor plumbing, thank you.
I understand and appreciate your point regarding the devolution of civility and civilization, I lament it every day, but at what point in the timeline of history do we plant a stake and say, “Here, here is where things started going south.”
It could be argued that before and around the turn of the 20th century we “discovered” cars and airplanes and electricity. . .etc, and at that point the nation began to lose its focus. The “roaring 20’s could also be accused to doing the same. What we see in all of man's history is a worship of creations (such as “earth”), as opposed to the Creator. So from my perspective, it really isn't technology that is to blame but the weak and lazy spirit. Am I wrong.
I also am really curious about the whole “alien” thing, as in; are we alone? Are we the only sentient life in the universe or not? And if not, how do we tell the difference between an intergalactic traveler and a demon.
I am not trying to be difficult, just curious
(Appreciate the tolerance and patience, as I have sincere questions. I have to log off now, quality time with the family, you understand).
Points taken, by the way.
I think Israel became a nation in 1948.
