A former engineer at the top secret airfield "Area 51" in Nevada has spoken out about UFO sightings in the region in the 1960s, saying the witnessed flashes of light were part of top secret US aircraft experiments.
In an interview with ABC News, Thornton "T.D." Barnes, 72, a former special-projects engineer at Area 51 said: "No one really knew we existed. Even our wives didn't know where we were going when we left Monday morning and came back Friday evening."
Barnes was an electronics engineer for NASA who also specialised in advance radar and Soviet MiG fighter aircraft and was asked to join a team of CIA experts who would work on secret military projects at the infamous base.
UFO folklore has it that Area 51, about 80 miles north northwest of Las Vegas, is where captured aliens and their spacecraft have been stored by the US military. The conspiracy theory comes in part because of the preponderance of strange, unaccounted for lights that have been seen in the region of the top secret military base.
However Barnes poured cold water on the theory saying the "alien spaceships" were in fact light flashes from top secret spy planes being flown at 2,000 miles per hour at altitudes of 90,000 feet.
The experimental planes produced light flashes that some interpreted as alien spaceships and this was considered helpful by the team in covering their activities.
"We considered it to be a bonus," said Barnes. "They made it easier to conceal what we were doing."
However some ufologists have said the area has only been partly declassified and UFO work at the base may well have carried out though in a region unknown to engineers such as Barnes.
"Those guys who came forward may very well be telling the truth, with the caveat that they wouldn't know if there was something going on," said Stanton T. Friedman, a nuclear physicist, lecturer and top UFO researcher.
Friedman added that evidence coming out of places such as Area 51 proved how much was going on in the country without peoples' knowledge.
"National security has a real place in all of this stuff. There is no way to tell your friends without telling your enemies," he said. "A lot of Americans woke up to the fact that there's a lot going on that they don't get told about."

(1) I don't know that there's a remotely definitive answer available on that one, yet. However, Scripture is interestingly indicative against technologies so easily given over to warfare. There's some indication in Genesis that part of God's anger at the fallen angels--in addition--to their screwing around with human women--was their giving war-making technologies to man. THEY ARE CLEARLY AT BOTH YET AGAIN.

Certainly the use the satanic oligarchy is putting the "ET" technologies to . . . tyrannical warmongering devastatingly destructive etc. technologies . . . withholding benign energy technologies because it would shred their centralized power means of control . . . all that is plenty evil on the face of it.

Scripture does NOT say that. In fact, it indicates we are not. Scripture speaks of fallen and non-fallen angel armies. "The Lord of Hosts" in the KJV is translated as GOD OF THE ANGEL ARMIES in THE MESSAGE version.
Some are convinced that the "ET's" are bona fide other world's citizens etc. etc. etc. and not fallen angels. I'm convinced most of, if not all of the better known "races" dinking around with earth now are clearly in cahoots with satan toward establishment of the satanic global government and the tyrannical maintenance of same. Whether they are fallen angels or other worlds' citizens . . . doesn't make a LOT of difference to me. It is sufficient that they are in cahoots with satan toward fulfilling Biblical prophecy about the global government in the end times.
Scripture mentions ALL CREATION WAITING GROANINGLY, YEARNINGLY, EAGERLY for the manifestation of the sons of God. Whatever that means, it sounds like every corner of Creation is polluted by sin and eager for Christ's joint heirs to help deliver a restoration to God's perfection at Creation and an end to the pollutions and injustices of sin. It's plausible to me, that could well include distant planets and their citizens. Doesn't violate any Biblical verse at all. Scripture is more or less mute on the topic. Certainly it is mute in terms of clear statements one way or the other.
And it's hazardous to argue from silence--which, BTW, seems to be what naysayers chronically try to do. Very laughable.
(1)How do you prove it. . either way. Does the Bible really say we are the only sentient beings in the universe? (2)If we are not the only sentient beings, then how do we KNOW the aliens are just that, aliens, or are we to assume all alien life are demons, or (3) how do we tell the difference.
(1) No, The Bible does NOT say we are the only sentient beings--quite the opposite as noted above.

(2) The New Testament lays out a good test . . . does the critter involved confess that JESUS THE CHRIST CAME IN THE FLESH; DIED FOR MANKIND'S SINS; ROSE THE 3RD DAY; IS KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS . . . If not--Paul made clear, we were to consider such critters accursed for preaching any other Gospel. The current crop of ET's insist that THEY created Jesus and all the religious figures of history for social engineering purposes vis a vis mankind--which they also insist they created/bio-engineered.

They assert that demons are the fallen angels WHO LOST THEIR BODIES IN NOAH’S FLOOD.
That did not comprise all satan’s 1/3 of the angels that were kicked out of Heaven with him.

There are reports of various teams of humans traveling for extended stays on such distant planets. It remains to be seen how factual such reports are. There are more than a few such reports from a diversity of sources but not sufficiently diverse or convincingly solidly authoritative for me to do more than put it on a shelf and wait and see what God confirms about that.
