Mother, daughter attacked by pit bulls

Three pit bulls were impounded Saturday after they attacked a woman and her 2-year-old daughter.
Sgt. Eric Reddick said 41-year-old Rhonda Morgan was in her front yard with her 2-year-old daughter. Morgan told police later she was afraid to go into the back yard because the pit bulls next door tried to jump the fence.
Morgan saw two pit bulls charging at her daughter and ran to pick her up. She picked the girl up and bent at her waist to protect her. The dogs mauled the woman and tried to get to the girl. Morgan kicked at the dogs and they were joined by a third pit bull. Neighbors saw the incident and grabbed a rake and a shovel and came to help Morgan when an Enid police car drove by and was flagged down. The officer saw the incident and turned on lights and siren to try to drive the dogs away. The dogs ran in different directions, but all three were recovered by animal control and impounded for observation. The dogs belonged to two separate owners and seven charges ranging from vicious dogs, unlicensed dogs and animals at large were filed.
Morgan and her daughter were taken to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center for treatment. Two wounds also were found on the girl. Reddick said police will discuss further action against the dogs with Enid city legal department. Reddick said they will seek to determine if the dogs can be destroyed.

The existence of pit bulls is a sure sign of public corruption in a jurisdiction. It prompts the question as to which local-yocal pillar of the community is fronting drug money.

What? BAD analogy to start. Guns do not have instinct—they cannot get loose and run around maiming and killing. Pit Bulls can, and do.
I’m a dog lover but NO ONE needs a Pit Bull — they are truly dangerous.

No, it’s a case of a baby and a mother somehow forcing three dogs to chew them up.
