Dasy wasn't just any household pet -- she was given to Luttrell following his return to the United States in 2006 from Afghanistan. Luttrell was the sole SEAL team member to survive an intense June 2005 firefight with the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Dasy, named after each of Luttrell's fallen peers, Daniel "Danny" Dietz, Matthew "Axe" Axelson and Michael "Yankee" Murphy, reportedly helped the SEAL overcome his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

technically, that seal broke all kinds of laws. Even cops aren’t allowed to chase in some cases.
The cops had Latrell on the phone as he chased these scumbags at over 110 mph. I do not think that I would have let the cops have them. These “individuals” had beeen killing any dog they saw. Thank goodness for law enforcement.
Beck has been all over this one.
Maybe so, but I don’t blame him in the least.
That’s why he appears to be getting away with it. But if our laws really mean something, he should be charged with something. Even if it’s only a speeding ticket.
Yeah, you’re right and very, very cool(much cooler than I) for pointing it out.
I think these guys are lucky Luttrell didn’t ‘get them’ before the police took them into custody.

“But if our laws really mean something, he should be charged with something. Even if its only a speeding ticket.”
Yea - a speeding ticket, maybe. Perhaps littering if a piece of paper got loose.
That’s about it. This guy and his dog deserve to be left alone on their property...and these animals that invaded are VERY lucky to still be alive.
Logically, I know you have a point, but I just can’t bring myself to care that he was speeding. And I really don’t mean that as a zing to you. I’m not trying to be sarcastic at all. I really feel for the guy. I know we have laws for a reason, but if someone shot my dog like that, especially if I had gone through what he went through, I think they would truly be the last thing on my mind.
Me too.
I wonder if these mental midgets did that as a precursor to armed robbery or just as a “thrill kill”?
Dunno about you, but I wouldn’t find him guilty of anything.
Me also.
This guy is a great man.
Glad he caught some of the turds. I heard about this a few days ago.
Killing a Lab at any time is retarded unless it has rabies.
