The companies announced Tuesday that they are working together to develop a two-wheeled, two-seat electric vehicle designed to be a fast, safe, inexpensive and clean alternative to traditional cars and trucks .

You should have put ‘motorized wheelchair’ in brackets next to the title.
If the Russians and Chinese and whomever else can take out our electrical system in the US, I believe it is the OPTIMUM time to move to all electric vehicles, don’t you comrade?
What happens when a city transit bus tags one of these in an intersection accident? Hmmm?
I guess that we’re going to waive all the auto construction & safety standards now that the greenies are in charge at GM. Pack-up the crash-test dummies! They’ll be on the unemployment line next!
This is the best that American auto engineering can come up with? When was good old-fashioned USA manufacturing grit replaced with European Metrosexual nonsense?
We’re so screwed.
It’s called a Rickshaw. And I would venture to say that a one-human powered version is cheaper & more efficient than a battery-powered one.
Doesn't look like it could tow a very big boat, especially on the hills.
Wasn’t there a cartoon that appeared in daily papers, years ago, called “Smokey Stover”, about this fire chief, Cash U. Nutt, who went to fires with a two-wheeled car?
Concept was there long ago. Just bringing it into the 21st Century
Sell it to the Europeons. (The spelling is intentional.)
Seriously... what is with this sort of idiocy? May as well us a Scooter or Moped if you’re looking for small, fuel efficient, short distance transportation
Government Motors should just get it over with and file for bankruptcy.
It doesn't look that way to me. However, with a few creative laws I sure Congress will try to force people to make that choice.
As usual South Park was prophetic when they made their episode about the Segway. All they need to do now is add the anal and oral probes to the model. Or is that represented by the fact that tax payers are paying for this train wreck?
Buy a horse...
When grit stopped being enough and actual design for function and quality manufacturing became important. GM, etc. stuck to grit, but the market for grit kept shrinking and now they are bankrupt all but for the $20B plus hand out that tided them over for six months.
American manufacturers screwed themselves. We make the world's best fighter aircraft, and the 787, if it ever flies, will be great (mostly built on improvements and techniuqes developed on the defense side). Other folks need to take inspiration.
They ought to just call it the liberal mobile.
