They paid for them with their own money. I have no problem with it.

This is why they are liberals. They get enormous riches without earning it. Their most bankable commodity--their good looks--was not earned. It was a lucky twist of fate. Other than that, all they had to do was be able to read and stand on a mark, and they made millions. Thus, they feel guilty.

Since they also happen to be irreligious, they need a way to cleanse their guilt. Enter liberalism. And of course, the true source of their guilt isn't just that they make a lot of money based on good luck. It's that they keep so much of it. If they truly believed their liberal pap, they'd simply give away the majority of their money, keep enough to live on, with a healthy nut earning interest in various investments. They'd live much more humbly, and skip all the opulance. It's their own self-loathing that leads them to liberalism.

But then there are others who just use liberalism as a front. They guard their reputation by supporting all the right causes, so that no one complains that they are truly greedy pigs.

"Since they also happen to be irreligious, they need a way to cleanse their guilt."

And of course, the main problem is....they, being the dishonest opportunist liberals they are....always choose to assuage their guilt by spending other people's money on their touchy-feely liberal/socialist programs. Personally, and speaking for myself, I'm damned tired of funding every lazy @ss "too good to work for a living" liberal/minority with my tax dollars. I have no dependents, no deductions and pay a TON of tax on my meager $50,000/yr salary. Not fair. They (the minority liberals) are driving around in nice, new cars while I struggle along driving an older model that I CAN AFFORD. They're living in nice big houses (like the one next door) that they bought with the federal government's help with "other people's money" (ie taxpayers like me) while I rent because I can't afford to buy (not a dark enough skin color, apparently).

That's just one reason that I loathe liberals/socialists. My ancestors were force-marched by the US federal goverment from their homes to a desolate place (which amounted to genocide). And now, just because I choose to call myself "white" instead of Cherokee, I will be forced to pay ""reparations"" to blacks for a condition of slavery that looks like a damned good life compared to what MY ancestors were forced to endure.

Screw em! This is war. I've had it.

Yes, but don’t they, like sports celebrities, get special tax breaks? Which would explain how and why they’re liberals (at least, most of them)....

“taxes for thee but not for me”, and all that usual/typical liberal rot. Plus the fact that they’re “union”.

Laura Ingrahem was brilliant when she wrote this in her book “Shut Up and Sing.”

We paid for our own too. So? The whole idea is that they buy these places and never live in them. They have them because it makes them look like they are important. I never said they didn’t pay for them. They did. That’s their business but...it still does not take away from the fact it is so wasteful. They never seem to be home anyway or I shoudl say they never seem to be in that “structure” anyway. I’m just sick of their homes, clothes, faces plastered all over the place when this country and our world is in such chaos and poverty yet these stories surface all the time. What a waste.
