Knew people from her earlier days ... promiscuous (at that point in her life) would be an understatement.
Ping
“The Birds” still scares me. Doris Day’s big problem was her movies with Rock Hudson, it was tough to take her seriously after that.
Let’s not forget Ann Margaret!
Grace Kelly absolutely.
Not surprising, promiscuity was often the path to success back then (it probably still is).
I suggest an objective plethysmograph test for actual male responses to these posted images.
Tuesday Weld in ‘Lord Love a Duck’ may overload the device, though!
(I must have a thing for great lips)
Turner is a Christian woman. I heard her on one of my radio shows and never knew. I was very impressed with her. She is a natural beauty.
I think the gal who plays Kate on the show LOST is very pretty too - a natural beauty as well.
Can’t argue with either of those. Isn’t it amazing how beautiful women seem to transcend time?
I like it so much, I’ve got my own copy; (my grandkids love it!) Robert Taylor is the lead actor.
Another beautiful actress that was never promoted as sexy, but was nonetheless: Jean Simmons
Lillian Gish was pretty darn hot in “Birth of a Nation”.
Critics said that she “would be nice to come home to”.
Jean Simmons was my mom’s favorite. I also loved her. All these names bring back memories.
When I was growing up they used to have what they called the “late show” and it was a movie that came on at 11:00 p.m. During summers when I could stay up late and sleep in, I watched it almost every night. They used to play all these great old movies. My mom and dad would tell me which ones to watch and I still remember my mom and dad telling me which ones were “tear jerkers,” a phrase that cracked me up when I first heard it.
That’s where I learned to love Jean Simmons, Burt Lancaster, Van Johnson, Donna Reed, Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor, Humphrey Bogart, and all those names that I could list for a long, long time.
Jacqueline Smith, too, maybe?
Hey - did anyone put Lana Turner on here????
She should be on the list.
Andie MacDowell
I’ve long kidded my wife that Jacqueline Bisset is the only woman who could make me break my wedding vows ;-)
And yes she looks fabulous for her age.
