Angels Starting Pitcher Killed After Ball Game

TMZ has learned Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a felony hit-and-run car accident in Fullerton, California early this morning -- hours after he pitched in a game last night.
Cops say someone driving a minivan blew through a red light, causing the Mitsubishi that Adenhart was riding in to hit a light pole. Three people were killed in the crash, including Nick.
Cops say the person driving the van fled the scene -- but was later caught and charged with felony hit-and-run. The suspect is currently being treated for injuries in a local hospital.
We're told one of the other men killed in the crash was also affiliated with the Angels organization.
Nick was 22-years-old.
FYI -- Nick pitched his ass off last night, striking out 5 guys in 6 scoreless innings. His performance was hailed by sportswriters as a "brilliant effort by a 22-year-old right-hander making his fourth Major League start."

2.They will be out on bail within hours.
3 It will be immaterial if their license is suspended or if a condition of bail is they do not drive. The police will not check and the perpetrator will be drinking and driving with in a matter of days.
4.Their friends and family were well aware before hand that the perpetrator was a chronic drunk driver and will say nothing when they return to those habits.
5.The death of three people will cause none of them any sense of guilt or responsibility, even if out on bail the perpetrator was to be involved in another fatal accident.
6. If the perpetrator was given probation or let off with little or no real punishment on a previous conviction, the judge will feel no sense of responsibility either.

If all or some of these guesses are wrong in this case there will be a half dozen cases somewhere in America in the next week which will go largely unpublicized in which match the above assumtions.

RIP for a great young talent. Judging by the damage I’d say “blew through” the red light was an understatement.
