Drive on if you dare: The park now has more than 20 lions after a new litter was born earlier this year

But the occupants of this Ford were probably not expecting to have quite such a close view as they made their way through Knowsley Safari Park.
The expression on their faces is sadly not visible as their small vehicle is surrounded by no less than 10 lions who live there.
But you can bet they had the windows and locks tightly closed just in case one of the animals became over-cautious and moved even closer.

[... I just wish we didnt have to be afraid of them...]
Someday (soon) the lion will lie down with the lamb.

More about the Knowsley Safari Park here:
(This pictures taken from the Gallery slideshow....go to the Knowsley site for more cute baby animal pictures)
Baby season has definitely started here at Knowsley, so far we have;
A Lechwe calf born 28th March
An Eland calf born 31st March
7 Pere David's calves
16 Ostrich eggs
And the multiple baboon babies already running around and eyeing up their first wiper blades.
As well as the new babies in the main reserve we also have our lion cubs, three rhino calves and in the lake farm some piglets and lambs.
There has never been a better time to visit Knowsley Safari Park than right now!
I’m counting on that! ;-) To be able to hug them and rub their bellies and to not be afraid of them when they play back would be a thrill. To talk to them and call them “Big Babies” and hold their cubs would be the greatest fun.
Ping to Post #23....that’s the picture I was telling you about last week. LOL
ROFLMAO!!
Technicality. That was polar bears and igloos.
Good thing they weren’t driving a 2000 Algore. Once you stop, the engine ceases and the sun roof opens automatically to allow solar recharging of the interior.
Ive resembled that remark.
Or the 2010 Oldsmobama, which will have windows and body parts made out of soybeans.
*sigh*
Now it’s stuck in my head. I’m going to have to go dig out the album now.
:-)
Until then, though.. it's lamb chops for everybody!
HooYah!
I'm working off memory, though.
Yum. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Wasn’t this vehicle in an episode of South Park?
That poor lion is henpecked to death. The look on his face is priceless. I’d say he is taking her out to dinner tonight.
*sigh*
Now its stuck in my head. Im going to have to go dig out the album now.
:-)
Sorry about that! By the way, what’s an album? :)
WHEN the Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride,
He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside.
But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male...
