Dude.... you are either smoking crack, or simply not a golf fan.

The Master’s has something the TPC is greatly lacking: Tradition.

The TPC is played on a completely forgettable, and butt-ugly track. One tricked up Par 3... and, you think THAT is the most famous hole in golf? Hardly. I’ve played on a dozen courses as pretty as the TPC. Heck, there are probably a dozen just in Florida.

The TPC is a great tourney, due to the deep field. Someday, it may be considered the “Fifth Major”. But, the year the Master’s is no longer considered a Major, is the year they no longer have Majors.

Ask professional golfers: If you could only win ONE tourney, which would it be. I doubt 1% would say “TPC”. I’d wager my most trusted putter a large majority would say, “The Masters”.

Sorry, I am a fan of golf not so called tradition. The real tradition is that majors were THE CHAMPIONSHIPS OF SOMETHING. The UK, the home of golf, amateur and open or the US the place where golf grew, amateur and open.

Majors have never been the NEGBJI type events. Only for a short time have people pretended this fraud of an event run by a bunch of old cranks in Ga was a major. On the other hand the TPC fits in nicely as a professional major with the champtionship of British golf association, the US golf association, the US professional golf association and the US touring professionals association.

So face it, just like with the claim Bush was AWOL from TANG, CBs is telling you the NEGBJI is a major out of their own self interest. They want it to be so they say so. Too bad NBC does not have the balls to promote the real major, the TPC, that they cover like CBS does the fraud major.
