How close would you guesstimate it was?
And how big relative to your thumbnail or fist extended at arm’s length?
Exactly ... you rant against the “religion of scientism” while, unbeknownst to you, you are still trapped and limited by the assumptions of scientism. That is my point exactly. Thank you for confirming it.
Perhaps a few more Greek philosophers and religious mystics, and a few less 20th century statisticians, need to find their way to your library.
As for the point you make ad nauseum about UFO’s ... I have some sympathy for it. I believe in many matters, such as claims of divine revelation, doubt is never an appropriate knee-jerk reaction...however, that doesn’t mean I should take the claims of every Branch Davidian or Heaven’s Gate leader seriously. Sometimes the lunacy is obvious even to the smallest child who has never even heard of the scientific method.
TRUE ENOUGH.
THX.
Though you are actually wrong about my . . . awareness about the flaws of science and about my allegiance to them.
Hmmmm.
Thx.
LOL.
You’re welcome. I started reading through the Wiki page on it and the related links at the bottom are pretty interesting.
One I’ve read that analyzes the Times photo and such is here:
http://brumac.8k.com/BATTLEOFLA/BOLA1.html
That page also includes some eyewitness testimonies, as well as information on people who died during the event (1 car accident, 1 heart attack of an LEO on the way to a post), also info. on people who were arrested during the event for failing to abide by the blackout.
It’s a really fascinating case. People all over in the morning were going around picking up spent bullets and shrapnel and such from the AA fire. But, there was never any evidence that the object identified in the sky and lit up with about 6-9 spotlights was ever touched despite what must’ve been THOUSANDS (or Hundreds of Thousands) of rounds fired within a half-hour period of time.
INDEED.

Miles. Was in my sister's back yard looking west, watching jets of some kind appearing to fly as fast west as they could and then come back.(repeatedly) Davis-Monthan is up I-19. I had binoculars.
I looked Southwest and saw what looked like a pulsating star. Through binoculars It looked like it had red green, yellow, red and white lights rotating in an eccentric fashion. Almost like one of those weighted baby toy balls. It also appeared to have no lateral movement. It was not close so I can't judge size. It was no blimp flying over that part of the Sonoran Desert.
As always...thanks for the pings. Upthread the question was raised about an uptick in sightings prior to an earthquake? I hope not; but so many awful occurences seemingly ‘lumped’ together time frame wise these last few days. At a time of what should be a spirit of faith and renewal, with Jewish Blessing of the Sun (the 28 year cycle); Passover and Easter, it seems like things are just unravelling. There was even an earthquake today, a little outside of Rome.
Just my ponderings...
Fascinating.
Thanks.
Plenty to ponder, imho.
Heading for the shower.
Blessings,
Have a blessed Easter week, FRiend...
Likewise to you and all you love.
Thanks.
The author is Richard Sanner.
is there a reason why you never credit the authors?
Quix, some people cannot accept that there are UFO’s because of their own belief in God.
For some reason they can’t blend the two into their own concept of God.
Nope
