I had a high school buddy of mine deck a charging Doberman once while on his paper route. One right cross into the jaw, and it took off with it's stub between it's legs.

The dog took a .40 cal bullet square to the chest and ran off? I guess the .380 Ruger LCP I was thinking about buying to take on my daily afternoon run for just such contingencies might not be up to the task.
