This has become a back-asswards. A ‘snitch’ or ‘rat’ was someone who PARTICIPATED in a crime, but then turned in his accomplices in exchange for a lighter sentence for himself.
IT has evolved into meaning ANYONE who tells the police anything.
We need to teach young people that you are NOT a ‘snitch’ you are a WITNESS and need to get these crimilas off the street before they steel from or kill you or your mother.
I’m starting to these troubled, inner-city, “good boys” should really stop trying to “turn their lives around”.
Seems like every time one does, he ends up getting killed or killing other people, or both. Think about it, have you ever seen one of these fellows, who wasn’t “turning his life around” be involved in a killing? /sarc
Either that or perhaps parents and family members should stop lying to the media and admit that their little thugs were actually escalating their criminal activity and had no intention of “turning their lives around”.

A sad reality of life in the black community. One consoling piece of info is that blacks live better in the U.S. than they ever did in Africa. I guess it all goes back to what you do with your life and how you build your surroundings. If you don’t have, you probably didn’t build.
And we know for certain that 60 years of programs aimed at bettering the black community just ain’t working because progress comes from within.
