Phil was NOT destroyed.
The priest (who did very well) was too kind to cut him off and the blond host let Phil talk. In fact, they gave him a platform to talk about decling church, AIDS, abortion, war in Iraq....etc.

Donahue talked about every issue regarding the Catholic Church EXCEPT Obama being given an honorary degree at ND, and his stance on abortion and embryonic stem cells.
He never once even made reference to the topic. The host should have done a better job pinning him down to answer the topic rather than conflating it with many other issues.
