"I can hear it on the wind." Exactly. I've tried to describe that to people who've never been there and they just don't understand. There are some places where the history lingers in the air. Walking the battlefield at night is somehow simultaneously eerie and peaceful.

Awesome place, to me its like the Little Big Horn or perhaps Flanders. I can hear it on the wind. You can add Iwo Jima to that list. I was there in 1985 and it was truly an amazing and haunted place. The Coasties who were stationed there could tell you some tales.
