Dressed in a cream embellished cardigan and green gingham skirt, Michelle Obama practically shimmered in the early morning sunlight today as she and her husband arrived at 10 Downing Street.

The US First Lady, who has been hailed by the fashion press as a modern-day Jackie O, was not clad in high-end designer labels as one might expect someone of her position to wear. Instead, the glamorous 45-year-old opted for a spring-like ensemble from American high-street favourite J Crew.

Zactamento. That’s why I like you, you’re as smart as I am! LOL Anyway, congrats on the new baby, hope it all goes smoothly and you’re able to Freep and rock the baby at the same time!

I hate to sound tacky, but the cardigan on Michelle looks too small for her—especially the way she has it buttoned (as if it would be too tight if she buttoned it to the bottom).

Don’t believe your eyes, believe some lying ‘reporter’ who has turned fashion into a political game.

If Sarah Palin wore anything like what Michelle Obama wears she would be ridiculed to no end! We now know all the ‘fashion experts’ are liberal liars with no taste.

O M G!!! NO WAY IS THAT SETTING THE FASHION TREND! She looks like she just got out of bed in that wrinkled mess (that doesn't match)!

The babies love to FReep! James used to watch speeches with me on the video archive, and would be terribly disappointed that Vice President Cheney wouldn’t wave to him.

They are trying desperately to create a narrative.....that is just NOT there, not true, and they know its a lie when the write it.

You're correct. I have nothing against natural padding on a woman, but sheesh, Mrs. Gordon is not "svelte". The whole article sounds like sarcasm.

We could visit any Junior High, they would have better fashion sense than that.

True, but she still has her shoulders hunched and her head forward, so as not to make Barry look shorter.

I love the shoes.

So do I. I just wish they matched the rest of the outfit.

Michelle's outfit is horrid. It might look good on a teen or someone a lot younger, but not her.

And the way she layers her five bracelets is cheap, cheap, cheap!

No taste.

Have some fun!

Show a liberal this picture, and ask them if they think Sarah Palin is setting new and elegant fashion trends with this outfit:

(as posted to the Daily Mail)

I don't care what the pathologically hideous First Lady of the USA is wearing.

I do care that she got a 300K per year job ("vice president of community affairs") at the University of Chicago Hospital based on her race and her marriage to then Senator Obama.

UCH has been rewarded with a fat million-dollar earmark, and (now that Michelle is at the White House) her old job is vacant - and UCH isn't looking for anyone to fill it.

This is a clear case of corruption. So pardon me if I'm not interested in her grotesquely mismatched bracelets. She should be wearing handcuffs.

LOL
My kids grew up during the Reagan era, my youngest went into the booth with me to vote for him. (of course he was still unborn—and I was due that week—they gave me a chair to sit in line and everyone was really nice and very glad I made it thru the process without erupting!) That child is a good conservative today! (and a Freeper to boot!)

Tom was due on election day of 1996, so I went to the courthouse and voted absentee, back when that was a major pain. Turned out he was a few days early and I could have gone to the poll.

My local poll often has so few voters for primaries and bond elections that the election workers all want me to hang around with kids to amuse them!
