Did The Marxist Onada rescind his stem cell executive order or not?
TOPICS: Health/Medicine
KEYWORDS: obama; stemcell
An article appeared in my local paper purporting to reveal the facts about stem cell (embryonic) research. In the first para it stated that The Marxist Onada signed an executive order that allowed use of embryonic stem cells for research purposes. This was ballyhooed in the MSM a few weeks ago. Subsequently, on FR, I read that the executive order was rescinded some number of days later. This was not covered by MSM.
My question: Did The Marxist Onada rescind his stell cell executive order or not?

As I understand it, the affiramtive action fool one signed an exec order recending Bush’s ban on federal funding of new embryonic stem cell lines. A few days later, stupid signed the massive spending bill which had provisions to withhold funding for embryonic stem cell research if new cell lines were to be used.

that is my understanding as well, it is now ok to fund stem cell research but congress still has to pass a bill to provide funds and as far as i know that was one of the very few things congress didn't pork in the spendulas bill.

Thanks MHGinTN. Per chance do you have a source for the spending bill point? If not, I’ll just start googling and see what pops up.
