Today suds, tomarrow beer (again), the cigaretts, then full-strength toilets, then black-market hospitals/clinics.

If push comes to shove, I would find it my duty to smuggle dishwasher detergent :) In Canada (and in Europe) smuggling ciggs has become a past time sport or criminal operation. Maybe the drug lords can grow tobacco instead of cocaine?

They passed the same regulation in Whatcom County, at the same time last year. You wouldn’t believe the number of people who stocked up on dish detergent at Costco, the week before the regulation went into effect.

I plan to switch to the dry type of detergent before this July, because I think it will have a longer shelf life. I plan to have a five year supply of dish detergent on hand.

I live in western NY and people have been going over to Canada to get "full strength toilets" for years now.

The State of Oregon House is voting soon on a similar ban. The Senate has already approved it.

What it will cause is double the water use because dishes will have to be pre-washed before they are sanitized in the DW. More water and more energy.

BTW commercial machines are exempt because the phosphate free soap does not work very well.

Someone should launch an invasion and free these people.

I’ll give up my detergent when they pry it from my dishpan hands.

Keep electing lefties, you fools. You’re going to end up living in grass huts and digging roots.

Please include those lame faucet aerators with these. We recently had to replace our bathroom sink faucet. I wish that I’d had the foresight to save the old aerator. With the new one, it could take several minutes to fill a glass of water. I noticed that I can’t even defeat this by enlarging the orifice plate. It now has a fine sintered porous plug instead.

I bet the non-phosphate liquids work very well when washing dishes by hand.
