Chunks and pieces of the rawhide chews can get stuck in the intestines. The Nylabones are much better for dogs.

FWIW, my vet says that ANYthing can get stuck in a dog (and given that we have Labradors, almost anything will!)

She says as long as the rawhides are an appropriate size and you throw the small bits away, there's really no problem. Although some dogs seem to have an allergic reaction to them.
