You'd think he'd fly in for a “helicopter tour and photo op of himself filling a couple sandbags. How hard could that be

It’s already been noted, even by the MSM this A.M., that in the best spirit of community and mutual aid, all those affected in ND, have ALREADY taken care of things themselves, with their fingers crossed that it won’t get worse. But of course an entire city is not underwater, so the whole political point just kind of lies there, inert, and unless something truly catastrophic happens, nothing bad will redound back on the Obama Administration, or him personally. All he had to do was lean back and in best Executive largesse, deem it a disaster area. I don’t think the lesson will be lost on millions of Americans, though, that this President seemed to have bigger fish to fry and was as unperturbed by this little nuisance as he was by the vacillations of the DJIA over the last several months.
Obama really needs to just get outta town and leave us alone. Or he will be TOLD to do it soon, and it’s bound to be real embarrassing.

Obumbles has taken a couple of hundred of his nearest and dearest aides to the G20 meeting. After all, you can’t meet the Queen without a huge support group.

Wonder how many vanloads of high fashion is being flown over for her omarosa-ness.

Live west of Fargo. Schools closed so kids can be on the sandbag lines, same with vast majority of unessential business’s. busloads of volunteers coming in from all over upper midwest. Cold weather helping slow down drainage basis flow, but snow in forcast for Tues/Wed. Clay for the leves came from soccer & football fields dug up.

Right now its “hold the line”....semper fi attitude.

Have a brother in law that had to evac from house in Morehead. No major actual damage so far, he’s able to check house daily.

They may loose a couple of battles with the river, but hopefully the effort by all lets them win the battle

Grand Forks learned the hard way in 97’ and built permanent dikes to record levels-—Fargo will have to make similar decsisons: no need to depend on Fed help, do it yourselves. If you want something done right

Obama's inauguration brought 2 million black people to washingon DC in 5 degree weather and one day yet 4 thousand couldn't get out of new Orleans in 85 degree weather and two weeks notice. The great people of Fargo will be just fine. Its going to be time to catfish the red river in no time

They can always stand on top of the sugar beet piles

It wasn’t that long ago that a bunch of white people were freezing to death in the Midwest somewhere and Obama didn’t “notice”

Obama's inauguration brought 2 million black people to washingon DC in 5 degree weather

I would think that preparation for lodging in, and travel to Washington took more than one day. The election was on Nov.4,2008 the inauguration was on Jan. 20, 2009. By my calculation that's over two months.

"....yet 4 thousand couldn't get out of new Orleans in 85 degree weather and two weeks notice."

The population of the city of New Orleans before Katrina was 454,465. 80% of the city evacuated before the storm. That means that 363,572 people left. The remaining 20% percent that did not leave came to approx. 90,893 people. In other words, Katrina's approach saw the orderly evacuation of over three hundred thousand people from a major metropolitan city under emergency conditions. By anyone's estimation, it was a success.

Oh BTW, a hurricane’s exact path is unpredictable almost right up until it hits. The best time to evacuate is a few days ahead of projected landfall. Unless you are independently wealthy or retired and have no job to which to report, nobody evacuates two weeks before a hurricane. During an entire hurricane season the cost of hotel stays, food, and gas for the car, can add up to a major chunk of change. Most people watch the weather reports and leave when their city officials call for it.

Instead on going to the Fargo Dome to fill sand bags, the residents should just go there (with no personal supplies) for shelter and demand the federal government feed them. In the meantime, they can feel free to defecate anywhere they like in the dome.
