Another elementary school teacher is being accused of molesting a former student. This time it's happened at Rosa Parks Elementary School in City Heights. The teacher, 35-year old Adrienne Feistel, is accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy she befriended. The molestation allegedly occurred while the boy was in 7th grade. Feistel's neighbors are in disbelief.
"She's always seemed very sweet. Very nice to me. Very loving at her son. This doesn't seem like something she would do," says a neighbor who did not want to be identified.
At one point Feistel was reportedly living with the boy's family. She no longer works at Rosa Parks and the boy is now 15-years-old. Deputy District Attorney Wendy Patrick Mazzarella says the molestation happened from August 2006 to August 2008.
"The incidents happened after this victim was out of her class, but spanned off and on during that entire period." Says Mazzarella.
Authorities say the crime was reported by the teenage boy when police were interviewing him about an unrelated incident, a confrontation between the boy's mother and sister. Neighbors tell San Diego Six News that Feistel moved out of the neighborhood last October and is separated from her husband who is a San Diego Sheriff's Department Deputy.
Those same neighbors are trying to come to grips with the allegations.
"Surprised and shocked. It doesn't seem like something she would do." says the unidentified neighbor.
If convicted, Feistel could face up to eight years in prison. She sits in jail at the Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee. Her bail was set at $50,000.
So aside from 1 and only 1 person’s statements, is there any evidence that this actually happened close to 3 years ago???? It’s amazing and scary the power that 1 person’s word can have. What if this kid is making this up?? Are there letters, photos, text messages, other adults that saw inappropriate behavior, has she made any incriminating statements???? Or is this all based upon the word of 1 person??? Where is the presumption of innocence in our society now, half of the posts I’ve read here are ready to burn her at the stake, with only the shabbiest of evidence presented in this article.
Hello i would just like to say that she is hispanic not white. And since we r all equal why should it matter
I think you misunderstood my point...I was trying to get across the idea that we ONLY seem to have these articles and/or threads when the perps are white women. I'm sure there are hispanic and black females who have sex with young kids..we just never seem to read about them.
